Air Canada Expands U.S. Connections from Vancouver for Summer 2025

Air Canada is enhancing its transborder network for summer 2025, unveiling new routes and boosting existing services from its Vancouver hub.
Starting June 3, Air Canada will launch a year-round service to Tampa, Florida, operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays. A day later, the airline will introduce seasonal flights to Raleigh, North Carolina, running three times weekly. These additions follow the announcement of a Vancouver-Nashville route last month, underscoring Air Canada's commitment to expanding U.S. connectivity.
Air Canada's executive vice president overseeing revenue and network planning, Mark Galardo, emphasized the airline's strategic growth: "Air Canada continues to reinforce its position as the leading carrier between Canada and the US with new flights to fast-growing metropolitan areas and sought-out destinations."
To meet rising demand, the airline will also increase flights from Vancouver to Austin, Texas, adding two more weekly frequencies, totaling five. Denver and Miami will similarly benefit from expanded capacity.
This announcement comes amid competition with WestJet, which recently unveiled its own U.S. expansion plans from British Columbia. Notably, WestJet is set to launch a Vancouver-Tampa route on June 14, just days after Air Canada's service begins.
With these new routes, Air Canada is positioning itself as a preferred choice for travelers between Western Canada and the U.S. This aims to promote tourism to British Columbia through enhanced connectivity.
