Avelo Claims the Title of America’s most Reliable Airline in 2025

Avelo Airlines has entered 2025 with a remarkable achievement—being named America's most reliable airline for 2024. According to Anuvu, a trusted aviation data services company used by publications like The Wall Street Journal, Avelo topped the U.S. airline industry rankings for both on-time performance and flight cancellation rates.
Avelo Airlines led the U.S. airline industry in on-time performance, with 83.9% of all its flights clocking within 15 minutes of their scheduled departure times. This figure significantly outperformed the industry average of 77.6% and major airlines such as Delta Air Lines (81.9%) and United Airlines (78.7%).
The airline also recorded the lowest flight cancellation rate in 2024, canceling just 0.48% of its 19,000 scheduled flights, well below the industry average of 1.33%. Southwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines followed with 0.82% and 1.09% cancellation rates, respectively.
In a recent statement, Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO Andrew Levy praised the airline's operational success:
"Avelo is entering 2025 with a strong tailwind of world-class customer satisfaction, industry-leading reliability, and network growth. Travelers can count on Avelo to get them where they want to go on time and with their bags. 2024 was our best year yet, and 2025 promises to be even better."
In 2024, Avelo Airlines achieved several remarkable milestones. The airline served 2.4 million passengers, bringing its total to over 6 million since its launch in April 2021. Avelo expanded its fleet to 20 Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft with four new planes, and it plans to introduce three more in 2025. The airline's network grew to include 49 destinations, highlighted by introducing its first international routes to Cancun, Mexico, and Montego Bay, Jamaica. Avelo also opened two new operational bases in Sonoma County, California, and Orlando-Lakeland, Florida, and announced plans for additional bases in Concord and Wilmington, North Carolina, in 2025.
