Delta Airlines has dominated the inaugural Verified Air Travel Awards by Forbes Travel Guide, winning five top honors. The airline was named Best U.S. Airline, recognized for its excellent service and strong loyalty benefits. Allison Ausband, Delta’s EVP and Chief Customer Experience Officer, shared, “These awards reflect our ongoing commitment to enhancing every aspect of travel. They showcase both our strategic investments and our employees’ dedication to delivering exceptional service.”
Forbes Travel Guide’s selection process was thorough, involving 5,000 hospitality professionals. The results were then verified through their trusted Star Ratings system, which has been used for over 66 years.
Among the awards Delta earned, Best U.S. Airline was a standout, with the airline praised for its reliability and customer-first approach. But that wasn’t all—Delta also took home the award for Best Domestic Business Class. The Delta One service impressed with fully flat-bed seats, exclusive lounge access, designer Missoni amenity kits, and seasonal dining options. The enhanced beverage selection also earned high marks for elevating the overall experience.
Delta’s JFK Lounge was named Best U.S. Airline Lounge, offering 40,000 square feet of luxurious space. The lounge includes a year-round outdoor terrace, nine private relaxation areas, and eight luxury shower suites. A full-service restaurant adds to the comfort. Delta is expanding this concept with a second Delta One Lounge at LAX, which opened in October.
Delta’s SkyMiles program won Best Loyalty Program thanks to its appealing perks like free Wi-Fi on most domestic flights and non-expiring miles. Members can earn miles through more than 20 partners. The program has been updated for 2024, making it easier to earn and enjoy rewards with new, simplified earning options.
The airline’s Fly Delta app earned Best Airline App honors. Travelers love its user-friendly interface, making it easy to manage seat upgrades, track baggage, and receive real-time flight updates. The app’s latest features, like a Help Center and Virtual Assistant support, only make it better.
Delta has also focused on innovation, partnering with TSA to implement facial recognition technology through the Delta Digital ID. This allows passengers to breeze through security at six major hubs without showing physical identification.
Delta’s commitment to improving the travel experience extends to its investment in LaGuardia Airport's Terminal C. The airline’s $4 billion contribution to the terminal’s $8 billion renovation has created a state-of-the-art facility, spanning 1.3 million square feet and featuring 37 gates across four concourses.
These awards add to Delta’s growing list of recognitions in 2024, including honors for customer satisfaction, punctuality, and excellence in premium services. With these achievements, Delta is firmly established as America’s most awarded airline.
