Hawaiian Airlines is gearing up for the holiday season with more flights between Honolulu and the U.S. West Coast. The airline will add services to its key hubs in San Francisco, Seattle, and Los Angeles, catering to the busy travel period from November through January.

The additional flights come shortly after Alaska Airlines finalized its acquisition of Hawaiian Airlines. Alaska stated that this merger will “reshape the travel industry for years to come,” reflecting the importance of this expanded partnership.

Hawaiian Airlines is increasing flights between Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu (HNL) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) for the upcoming holiday period. An extra flight, HA28, will operate from November 22nd to 25th and November 30th through December 1st. The return leg, HA27, is scheduled for similar dates. The airline is using its Airbus A321neo for these flights, complementing the larger A330-200 that currently services this route.

San Francisco will also see extra flights. HA54 will depart from Honolulu at 10 p.m., arriving at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) at 5:05 a.m. the following day, with return flights scheduled to leave at 7:05 a.m. These flights will run from mid-December through early January, using the Airbus A321neo and A330-200.

Los Angeles is another key destination for the holiday expansion. Flights between Honolulu and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will increase in December and early January. HA78 will operate between December 19th and January 6th, with flights departing Honolulu in the morning and arriving in Los Angeles by early evening.

A Hawaiian Airlines spokesperson shared, “We’re already seeing compelling demand for end-of-year travel, and our extra flights will make it even more convenient for our guests to experience our Hawaiian hospitality.” The airline will operate these flights using a mix of Airbus A330 and A321neo aircraft, both equipped with complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi through the Starlink network.

This flight expansion coincides with the continued rollout of Wi-Fi across Hawaiian’s fleet. By the end of the month, all Airbus A330s will feature the same high-speed connectivity already available on the A321neo.
