Raleigh–Durham International Airport, also known as RDU, is a public airport located in Morrisville, North Carolina, United States. It serves the Research Triangle metropolitan region, including Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and the surrounding areas.

The airport is owned and operated by the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority and serves as a hub for both American Airlines and Delta Air Lines. It is the second-largest airport in North Carolina, after Charlotte Douglas International Airport, and serves approximately 12 million passengers per year.

Terminals at Raleigh–Durham International Airport

Raleigh–Durham International Airport has two terminals, Terminal 1 and 2, which are connected by a shuttle bus. Terminal 2: Baggage claim and access to ground transportation services are located on the bottom of Terminal 2, which has two operation levels. You can find the ticketing area and the security checkpoint on the upper level that passes through to the departures concourses.

  • The upper level has two concourses: Concourse C is on the right as you enter from the security checkpoint and features 19 gates with the numbers C1, C3, C7 to C12, C14 to C18, and C20 to C25. Beside gate C3 are a good assortment of stores, dining options, the Admirals Club, and the Delta Sky Club.
  • On the left is Concourse D, which has 17 gates with the numbers D1, D3, D5, D6, and D8 to D20. There are plenty of shops, dining options, and a United Club across from gate D3.
