Nashville has gained wide acclaim during the past few years and has become a must-see destination for all those planning to visit the United States for a vacation. There's a lot to see and do in this city.
Nashville is ready to entertain you with its live music, delicious cuisines, friendly people and much more.
Here’s a 3-day Nashville itinerary for you to explore and enjoy the ‘Athens of the South’.
Start your Nashville sojourn on Friday with a visit to the Nashville Farmers Market. It’s a great place to explore round the year where you will find fresh produce, artisanal food, shops, restaurants, chef demos and crafts. Tourists can be seen visiting this interesting place to get insight into the lifestyle of the locals.
Just outside the Market is the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. Spend some time relaxing at the state park located right in the heart of downtown. It’s among the green space and amazing parks in the city recommended by the locals.
Check out the monuments in the park and learn more about the history of Tennessee.
Head to the historic Germantown located within walking distance of the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park to catch a glimpse of industrial buildings, historic homes, and a thriving food scene.
Round off your Day 1 by catching up with the best view of the sunset at the pretty cool Pedestrian Bridge with a treasured selfie. The Pedestrian Bridge is one of the best spots for watching the sunrise or sunset on downtown Nashville.
Finally, call it a day by relishing the traditional Southern food with a modern twist at Acme Feed & Seed, situated right on the corner of Broadway and 1st street.
Nashville is famous for its happening nightlife. Spend your night out at the Broadway to Honky-Tonk your heart out with live music, line dance and bar hopping.
Begin your Day 2, Saturday, of your Nashville sojourn with breakfast at the local’s favorite spot Post East in East Nashville. Enjoy cinnamon rolls and a cup of coffee.
After relishing a hearty breakfast it’s time for you to go hunting for street art. In fact, Nashville can be seen overflowing with street art. The best spots for mural hunting include downtown, East Nashville, the Gulch neighborhood and 12 South neighborhood.
You must be hungry now after your mural hunting spree. Head to the all-vegan spot Graze for a sumptuous lunch while still being in East Nashville. This eatery is quite popular with celebrities, tourists and the locals. My favorite has been mac & chorizo or the hot tempeh sandwich, and I recommend it for you too.
It’s time for you to set out for exploration by heading to Radnor Lake State Park.
It's a favorite among the locals and one of the best rated places to see wildlife at this highly protected state park. You can see beavers, birds, turtles, turkeys and deer. The prime wildlife viewing time here is at sunrise or sunset.
The 12 South Neighborhood is one of the best places to explore in Nashville. You can indulge in shopping and enjoy a coffee at the local chain Frothy Monkey.
It’s time again for you to conclude Day 2 by enjoying dinner at Avo in Midtown.
Look forward to relishing innovative locally sourced, plant based dishes. Also, don’t forget to enjoy the yummy cheese plate, lentil walnut cheeseburger, and the signature avo margarita.
Your 3-day Nashville itinerary is coming to a close on Sunday. Lots of exploring has already been done. But being in Nashville means there’s never enough time as far as exploration is concerned.
Start your Day 3 with a delicious breakfast at the all vegan and gluten free bakery Vegan Vee. It is one of my favorite places to enjoy weekend in Nashville to curb my sweet cravings.
Head to Centennial Park, which is home to the only full-size replica of the Parthenon in Athens, Greece. It’s no wonder that the world famous ‘Music City’ Nashville has also been nicknamed the ‘Athens of the South’.
Look forward to enjoying the traditional southern comfort food! Pay a visit to the Southern V for the hot chick’n made out of seitan. Don’t forget to relish the delectable jackfruit nachos.
Visiting downtown at night must have been spectacular. Now consider exploring downtown during the daytime too. It’s simply fabulous. You will love checking out the street art, visiting the historic Hermitage Hotel, catching a glimpse of Printer’s Alley, and taking a tour at Hatch Show Print.
It must surely have been a tiresome, yet exciting experience exploring the downtown. Get ready to bid adieu to Nashville but concluding your trip with a visit to the Pinewood Social where drinks, bowling and pool parties await you. It’s surely a place for everyone.
Though the 3-day Nashville itinerary has ended, but not my hunger for more and more exploration! It will take several days to explore tons of tourist attractions in this lovely city. No matter how many times you choose to visit Nashville, the city will thrill you with its wonderful offerings!
