British Airways offers travel options to its customers in four cabins on its mid-haul and long-haul international routes. These travel classes include:

First Class: British Airways offers First Class on its Boeing 787-9s, Boeing 777-300ERs, Boeing 747-400s, Airbus A380s and some of its Boeing 777-200s. The private cabins offered to First Class travellers on most of these aircrafts are equipped with lie-flat bed, 15-inch entertainment screen and in-seat power.

Club World: This is the airline’s business class cabin offered on all of its Boeing 747-400s, Boeing 787s, Boeing 777s, Airbus A380s, Airbus A318s, and selected Airbus A321s. The perks offered in Club World include fully convertible flat bed seats, direct aisle access, complimentary gourmet meals and wines, and amenity kits. 

World Traveller Plus: British Airways offers World Traveller Plus as its premium economy cabin on all of its Boeing 787s, Boeing 777s, Boeing 747s and Airbus A380s aircrafts. The travellers are offered wide luxurious seats, extra legroom, footrest, larger entertainment screen, complimentary meals and power sockets.

World Traveller: This is British Airways’ economy class cabin featuring complimentary food and drink, seat-back entertainment, blankets, pillows, USB plug-in points and AC power outlets. The airline offers World Traveller on all of its Boeing 787s, Boeing 777s, Boeing 747s, Airbus A380s and Airbus A321s.

You can check-in for your British Airways flight 24 hours before scheduled departure. It can be done either online or through your mobile/smartphone. Check-in can also be done at airport kiosk using your booking reference or at the check-in desk at the airport.

Yes, you can change the date and time of your booked British Airways flight when ‘flight only’ reservation was done less than 24 ago and your travel date and/or time was more than 24 hours away from the time of booking. The easiest and best however to change your flight is to cancel it and re-book again. The cancellation can be done and a full refund obtained without penalty, up to 24 hours from the time of booking. You can also make changes to flight beyond 24 hours of booking online if the booked ticket type allows you to do so.

You should reserve your seat in advance to get your preferred choice, and by doing so you can avoid sitting separately from your family or friends. The seats can be reserved for free or with a fee, depending on the circumstances and other factors, including the type of ticket purchased by you, class of travel and your personal circumstances. You can reserve your seat for free when check-in opens 24 hours before departure unless you have booked a Basic ticket (economy, hand baggage only).

You will be able to travel to the USA with an Electronic System Travel Authorisation (ESTA) instead of a visa if you're a citizen of a country such as the UK, covered by the Visa Waiver Programme. You should apply for your ESTA at least 72 hours before your scheduled departure. If you fail to obtain an ESTA then you won’t be allowed to travel. You will also require a valid e-Passport for using ESTA. In fact, ESTAs are valid for multiple journeys for up to two (2) years or until your passport expires, whichever is sooner.
